Mirabai Chanu's Brave Effort | Misses Medal by 1kg 

Mirabai Chanu's bid for a second consecutive Olympic medal ended with a fourth-place finish at the Paris Olympics 2024, lifting an aggregate of 199kg. 

Key Performances  Snatch and Clean & Jerk 

Mirabai matched her best snatch effort of 88kg and recorded a clean and jerk mark of 111kg, missing her final 114kg attempt for a medal.

China's Hou Zhihui defended her title with a 206kg total, while Mihaela Cambei impressed with 205kg. Thailand’s Sudorchana Khambao took bronze with 200kg.

Mirabai  Improvement from Previous Competitions 

Mirabai improved from her last performance at the IWF World Cup and her sixth-place finish at the 2023 Asian Championships, lifting 199kg at the Olympics.
