Gemini Live New Feature for Managing Locked Android Phones Is on the Way, Gemini Live is a new feature by Google that has the potential to change the way we use our smartphones shortly. This is the upcoming feature of Google’s Gemini AI chatbot, which is set to be released soon. It will allow the chat to continue even when you are engaged in other activities or when your phone or computer screen is locked.
First announced at Google I/O 2024 and a product of Project Astra, Gemini Live enables the user to have a two-way conversation using the DeepMind AI. This feature is particularly interesting because you can be on a call even when you have other apps open or your screen is locked.
Google App Beta 15: Gemini Live
Thus, in the last observed beta version of the Google app (version 15. 27), hints at their interaction are presupposed by code signaling a “background_mode.” The layout of Gemini Live will resemble a phone call with a pause and end screen and an option for 10 different AI voices for the users. It is also flexible; you can pause a conversation with the AI, and when you come back, the AI will respond to the new input.
It will also be able to work when the screen is locked for those who do not intend to use their hands most of the time. This feature has to be enabled to work on the app. However, once chats and the ability to exit a conversation are done, they can be handled through voice or a persistent notification.
Gemini Live Feature
Gemini Live also offers an improved interface for the lock screen. While the present generation Google Assistant is smart enough to give alarms, the new updates will enable you to do things such as message or mail managing and home automation without requiring smartphone unlocking. As a starting point, users will see icons of extensions for Google Maps, YouTube, Google Flights, and Google Hotels set to the lock screen, with the rest yet to be added.
Known as Gemini Live, the service is expected to be launched later this year. It will be offered for the Gemini Advanced package. It’s a great step towards making our interaction with smart devices – specifically the smartphone- natural and direct.
